Preview for Scotland vs Switzerland

The result for Scotland against Germany was the heaviest defeat ever recorded on an opening day of a European Championship tournament. The performance from Scotland has seen many football fans and pundits write them off already with still two games left to play.

That said, it was perhaps the most difficult game a side could have to start the tournament for several reasons. Aside from being the first game of the tournament, they faced an in-form, star-studded Germany side away from home in a tournament which they themselves are hosting. Everything on the night pointed towards a Germany win.

Scotland are currently bottom of Group A along with Hungary on zero points, and will need at least tomorrow night against Switzerland.
