How Rankings Are Calculated

The men’s ATP ranking is based on the points that players collect during the year from tournaments of different levels. 18 tournaments will be added to the points balance during the calendar year. Points are earned from the following tournaments:

• 4 Grand Slam tournaments
• 8 mandatory ATP Tour Masters 1000 tournaments
• 6 other ATP tournaments

The women’s WTA ranking is calculated based on 16 tournaments during the calendar year. Points are earned from the following tournaments:

• 4 Grand Slam tournaments
• 3 mandatory WTA 1000 tournaments
• 9 other ATP tournaments
